Frankie Lalunio (a.k.a. Mudskipper) is a Philippines-based musician, sound and multimedia artist. Performing using a ‘no-input’ mixer approach, Frankie’s performances incorporate harsh noise, channeling trance-like feedback in conversation with the saturated soundscapes of Manila. Their research-infused practice utilizes hand-coded digital instruments for performance, field recordings and vintage analog media while exploring themes of sonic warfare and generative content. Frankie currently serves as Program Manager at the Escolta artist-run space 98B COLLABoratory, where they steward its new media curation and archiving efforts, alongside other programming.
