Carolina Orozco Rubio

Carolina Orozco Rubio is a cultural manager, dancer, graffiti artist, workshop leader, creator and mother originally from Michoacan, Mexico. A graduate in Social Studies and Local Management from the Universidad Autónoma de México (UNAM), her interests lie in women and gender diversity, art by Abya Yala, nature and society, human rights community processes, and hip hop culture. She is passionate about her work, which focuses on gender perspective, alongside a recognition of structural intersectionalities. Her vision is to use her experience in community and cultural management to develop and strengthen the social fabric through hip hop. In addition to being a hip hop academic, she is also an active graffiti artist, using both her knowledge and creative skills to build initiatives and strategies for Cypher cultural center and thereby generate social transformations for common well-being.
