Lily Wen is a NY-based producer, engineer, mixer and host of WFMU radio show BUZZSAW. She is a house engineer at Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn. She has worked with artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Will Butler, Marshall Allen, Esperanza Spalding, Allegra Krieger, Bill Frisell, Ali Sethi, Laura Veirs, Geese, Samora Pinderhughes, Laraaji, Denzel Curry, Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker), Damien Rice and Moor Mother. Lily has recorded music to picture such as A24’s Earth Mama (2023) scored by Kelsey Lu, Amexica (2021) scored by Marc Ribot, and mixed the 2023 orchestral Big Game Ad for Booking.com featuring Melissa McCarthy. She recently ran monitors for Kacey Musgraves, Jon Batiste, Norah Jones, yMusic and Punch Brothers as part of Chris Thile’s Energy Curfew Music Hour (2024). Lily spins all-vinyl sets around the city and also drums in NY rock band Death Sneeze. She started the independent record label Figure & Ground in 2015, producing the debut albums from Combo Chimbita, STEFA* and Bulla en el Barrio.
